WATERMAN CHINESE MEDICINE

The Practitioner
Thomas completed a 4 year degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine at Middlesex University in 2014, receiving a first class honours and award from the Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture for excellence in studies.
In recent years he has become more interested in a classical approach to Chinese Medicine and is evolving his practice accordingly, shifting from a strict pattern differentiation based approach to a more holistic, cosmological understanding.
At this point in time his preferred way of working is primarily with Acupuncture and Tui Na, but may introduce herbs at a later stage if the desired treatment outcome isn’t reached or it is deemed the best fit for the presenting condition.
Clinically he has a particular interest in working with digestive conditions, musculoskeletal pain, and stress-anxiety related disorders but still considers himself a generalist at heart and likes to approach clinic with a wide lens.
Listening, supporting and empowering his clients is at the centre of his practice and he has a deep rooted desire to help people with their pain and distress.
Thomas enjoys practising Chinese Martial Arts which is where his interest in East Asian healing originates. This includes Qi Gong, meditation and mindful movement, all of which he draws on in his clinical practice.
Thomas is a full member of the ATCM and is bound to the Association’s Code of Practice and Code of Professional Conduct at all times.
